I love this line from Churchill because I believe that learning is the key to a good life. Life is change, change is learning and learning faster than others is the only way to create a sustainable edge.
Which makes for exciting times because learning is changing. We live in an emerging era of mass intelligence, knowledge has never been so easily acquired... yet knowledge itself rarely leads to change.
My experience is that genuine transformation emerges through our own experience. Experiential insight rather than acquired knowledge. Or as Churchill elegantly put it... through learning rather than teaching.
This is the philosophy that underpins everything I do. My consulting skills programs create the conditions for genuine learning and transformation—not through knowledge, but through insight and experience.
